The layout is good. Front nine is open and scenic while the back nine is secluded and wooded. Challenging but not frustrating. The course conditions left a lot to be desired........ The fairways and tee boxes were FULL of divots, and I saw no sand available anywhere to repair divots. Also, the fairways and tee boxes still had clippings on them from the previous mornings mow. It's clear they have some drainage issues (I probably wouldn't play here after a heavy rain), but a little work could go a long way on this course. All that being said, I'll probably come back and play it again this year.
Decent fairway, ok greens, but poor prices. With that I’ve found a lovely unwritten rule they have, you are not allowed carts past 2:50 is insane when you have a tee time of 3:00 and on. My friends and I paid for the carts without being told we were only paying for the front nine. Staff wasn’t very friendly when we asked for an alternate solution when the group ahead of us were able to pay for the back nine carts. Would not recommend and I will not be coming back here.
My advice to anyone thinking about golfing here would be to stay well away from the place. It’s a nice course but the ranger over the green was incredibly rude and horrible. He had no respect for the players and was constantly complaining. It would be a lovely place if he was not there but until he’s gone I won’t be returning.
Sad to say several months ago i had a similar experience… hole 10 couldn’t tell what direction to drive the cart (no signs) and went the wrong way, turned around after 15 seconds but the old man from the clubhouse / ranger was already on his way to ruin the vibe of one of the best rounds of my life. All because I went the wrong way and had to drive on some fescue to turn around? Come on. Hire younger people to work or re-train these old men that think everyone is there to destroy the course…so sad because it really is a beautiful and fun course.
Poor service, no drainage with several bunkers filled with water, course conditions not worth $55. No cart ppl providing drinks but alot of rangers enforcing cart path only rules.
West Bridgewater Country Club is a HIDDEN GEM. I found the course two years ago after playing many courses on the South Shore. The course is in great condition, tees fairways and greens. The back nine holes reminds me of Hilton Head. Price is right and staff is very welcoming. Strongly recommend
Heard great things about this course and club, Very clean and respectful establishment. Not only have I been informed of the beautiful course, I have heard GREAT things about the staff working here. John and Lyman are two of the people that have been mentioned to me for their impressive costumer service skills and welcoming environment they have created. Special thank you to those two.
Course is great, but when I schedule a 1:40 and pay for it up front, I expect to be notified if you need to move my tee time up. Ranger thought we were a no show and then expected us to just skip a hole because we were supposed to tee off at 1:30, which was incorrect. Frustrating all around.
